The Evolution of My Narratives
AnnElise Careington
Hello My Dear Readers,
May I introduce you to myself as AnnElise Careington, a lover of the written word and curator of narratives. If you have found me in this little space in the vast universe we were meant to meet. As a young child I became acutely aware of the power of narrative. Stories shaped how I saw the world, how I related to others and how I viewed myself.
The most powerful stories were the ones that had happy endings. I loved combing through Pride and Prejudice with my grandmother. Both of us would stay up late reading and laughing about the comical situations that the characters went through. As I grew older, I read books with menacing villains who were always defeated by a courageous hero. I saw the drama's played out in my mind's eye with brilliance and flare, but the stories I read always lacked something. A person who looked like me seemed to always be missing from the equation. In those stories, a person like me held no real significance and they never got the guy.
Today I chose to use the power of my pen (or keyboard) to create stories with characters that I can identify with and give them the happy endings that were missing. I invite you to be live front and center as I complete my own beautiful narratives and I also hope that you will enjoy the books that have inspired me. Join me as I create the unexpected happy endings.
The Philosophy
The Tactile Soul of Every Story
In an era of fleeting digital fragments, my vision is to return to the weight of the word. I believe storytelling should feel like a physical artifact—a curated scrapbook of nostalgia, ink, and sepia. Every review, every letter, is a slow excavation of truth, designed to be felt as much as it is read.
