The Heart Behind the Pen

Welcome to this digital scrapbook of stories. I believe that every word is a bridge, and every story an invitation. Through my writing and these shared moments, I aim to weave a tapestry of nostalgia and inspiration that speaks to the soulful reader in all of us.

Works in Progress

On Paper

After a shattering career collapse, Alana finds herself at a crossroads. When a blast from her past- mission minded surgeon offers a one-year marriage-of-convenience, she discovers that reinventing herself might require the help of an unexpected .

The Reader's Shelf

Books don't just tell stories. They hand us mirrors.

Welcome to my shelf — the place where I put down what a book made me feel, not just what it was about. I don't write traditional reviews here. I write letters. I write reckonings. I write the things I wish someone had handed me years ago wrapped inside a story. Whether it's a book that cracked me open, a novel that gave me permission to want more, or a fantasy that helped me understand the real world better than the news ever could — if it moved me, it lives here.

Words That Changed Me

These are the books that didn't just inform me — they interrupted me. They caught me mid-performance, mid-people-pleasing, mid-shrinking, and refused to let me look away. This is the shelf of books that rebuilt my relationship with myself, with God, and with the life I actually wanted to live.

Stories That Move the Soul

Romance, Women's Fiction & Contemporary

I believe love stories are the bravest stories ever written. Not because they always end in forever — but because they require the characters to be seen. Fully, messily, imperfectly seen. The women on this shelf chose themselves, or learned to, or are still in the middle of figuring it out. That's what I want to read. That's what I'm here to write.

These are also the books that live in the same neighbourhood as the Underwood Family Saga. Consider this a reading list for everything that inspired Alana, Anastacia, Carrie, and Mary.

Worlds That Explain This One

Fantasy

Some truths are too large for the real world to hold. So they live in imagined ones instead.

Fantasy taught me things about power, identity, chosen family, survival, and joy that no self-help book ever could — because in fantasy, the stakes are visible. The dragons are named. The cost of staying small is written right there on the page. I read fantasy because it gives me language for the things I couldn't explain about real life, including the parts of myself I was still figuring out.

The Silent Soliloquy

There is a profound stillness in the hours before dawn, a time when the world remains suspended in the ink of the night. It is here, amidst the scent of cedar and old parchment, that the truest stories begin to breathe. Writing is not merely an act of creation; it is a ritual of excavation, a quiet conversation between the soul and the empty page.

Every character I craft carries a fragment of a memory, a ghost of a feeling once felt. As the sun begins to touch the horizon, casting a warm coral glow across my desk, I realize that these words are more than just ink. They are bridges built across the distances between us, tethering our shared human experience to the ephemeral beauty of a well-told tale.

In the silence of the soliloquy, we find the echoes of our own truths. I invite you to linger within these sentences, to find a home in the spaces between the lines, and perhaps, to hear the soft vibration of your own story waiting to be written.
